Air Partner were tasked with transporting 145 tons of humanitarian equipment to Japan which consisted of goods that were required urgently - water, face masks, protective suits, blankets, food, respirators and anti-radiation medication. As well as, specialist equipment for relief teams such as pumps, compressors, generators, dosimeters and radiometers.
SolutionIn order to transport the enormous amount of relief required to reach Tokyo, one of the largest aircraft in the world was chartered. It allowed us to transport the goods in the shortest time-frame, in one journey. The charter departed for Tokyo Narita Airport from Chateauroux Airport south of Paris. The flight departed on the Sunday and one of our dedicated Account Managers from Air Partner spent the weekend at the airport finalising all the logistics that were required to ensure that the flight was successful.
