This year COVID-19 has made the world challenging and unpredictable. There aren’t many who have not been affected by the global pandemic in some way. At Air Partner, we have certainly faced some challenges but it is clear that there are people in the world who are less fortunate than ourselves who will find themselves in seriously difficult life circumstances as a result of the pandemic.
Throughout the pandemic, we’ve all spent more time at home and within our local community, which is why we are proud to be partnering with charities across each of our four key office locations who are all providing vital support to vulnerable people in the local community during the pandemic.
Fare Share Sussex (Gatwick Office), Real Help Doncaster (Doncaster Office) Feeding South Florida (U.S. Office), and Helping Hands Cologne (Europe Office).
Through the donations to these four charities, we will be supporting over 100,000 meals, clothing and vital supplies for homeless or vulnerable people at a time when they need it the most.
The charities we’re supporting:
FareShare is a Sussex based organisation that combats both food waste and food poverty by redistributing food-industry surplus to those most in need. During the pandemic, it has seen unprecedented demand for its services, in July alone providing enough food for 380,952 meals.
Real Help Doncaster is a multi-organisation scheme that works with individuals and businesses to raise funds for those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. It aims to help people off the streets and into safer, healthier lifestyles.
Feeding South Florida is the leading domestic hunger-relief organisation serving Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe Counties. The donation will provide more than 100,000 meals in support of the community’s food insecure population, which has more than doubled as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Helping Hands Cologne is helping homeless and vulnerable people across Cologne. Whether it’s providing meals, hot drinks, fresh clothes, hygiene supplies, sleeping mats and sleeping bags, Helping Hands Cologne is providing vital support to those most valuable.
