Air Partner Cargo’s team announces the successful time-critical delivery of oversized Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS), for a leading energy company. The flight operated from Tianjin Binhai International Airport (TSN) to Houari Boumediene International Airport (ALG), Algiers.
The team were called upon by the client when they required the GIS Bays urgently for a large-scale project taking place in Algiers, and sea freight was not an option due to the timescales.
Careful planning was required to move this oversized equipment. Air Partner’s dedicated Cargo team in Turkey arranged for the cargo to be trucked from the shipper’s warehouse to TSN airport and they worked closely with the operator to ensure all permits were secured in time. Two back-to-back flights were operated, with the oversized cargo being loaded onto the Maximus AN124 aircraft via aircraft internal cranes.
Commenting on this successful operation, Eliska Hill, SVP of Cargo – UK & ROW at Air Partner, said “This project really demonstrates our ability to tailor bespoke solutions for our clients. Our team are highly experienced in moving time-critical goods, for a variety of industries on a global scale. We are delighted that we were able to deliver a safe and timely solution for the client.”
