Air Partner launches first US based Academy, to develop the next generation of charter brokers

Global aviation services provider Air Partner, a Wheels Up Company, has announced the launch of its first US based Academy. The Air Partner Academy was first launched in the UK in 2022, designed to develop the next generation of private jet, group charter and cargo brokers.

Following the success of the UK scheme, Air Partner has rolled out the air charter broker Academy to the US and successfully recruited six talented individuals who will undergo a comprehensive training programme, before being placed in one of the US brokering based teams.

The new recruits will be based at the Wheels Up Member Operations Centre, in Atlanta, and will cover off all the essential skills and experience required for a role in charter broking during their training, before being assigned a mentor and a permanent role as a Charter Broker.

Air Partner’s Academy recruitment was targeted at those with a passion for aviation, combined with the right attitude, customer service skills and an aptitude for sales. Previous aviation experience is not necessary for the new recruits, providing a valuable pathway into the industry.

Commenting on the Academy, Greg Charman, Air Partner’s Talent Business Partner, said “After an extensive recruitment process, we are delighted to have six talented new recruits join us in our air charter broker Academy. The Air Partner Academy provides an excellent opportunity for those with little to no previous experience in aviation to gain hands on experience and begin an exciting new career within the company. We are excited to have these trainees onboard and we have plans to repeat the success of our Academy in both the UK and US next year.”

Air Partner’s Academy is one of the many learning and development initiatives the company has in place to recruit new joiners and retain existing talent. Interested candidates can register their interest for future Academy intakes via email [email protected]
