Air Partner, the global aviation services group, is pleased to announce a three-year partnership with Raleigh International, as part of the group’s long-term sustainability strategy.
Raleigh International is a youth action organisation supporting a global movement of young people to create solutions to the world’s most urgent problems such as the climate emergency.
The partnership with Raleigh International is Air Partner’s latest step in demonstrating our commitment to promoting a sustainability-driven culture across the group. The partnership will help support Air Partner’ employees in adopting good sustainable behaviours and taking actions to protect the environment. This will contribute to Air Partner’s objectives of tackling environment issues as well as developing environmentally responsible leaders.
Through this partnership, Air Partner will appoint project leaders on Raleigh International’s conservation projects and initiatives that involve rewilding and nature conservation, while raising funds to fight climate change. They will also receive training on environmental campaigning skills and oversee the leadership development and health & safety of a group of young volunteers aged 18-24.
A number of employees will also be able to take part in Raleigh’s Tree Planting Action Challenge, in the lead-up to the COP26 climate conference, at a time when the world will be thinking about ways to build a more sustainable future for all.
Mark Briffa, Chief Executive of Air Partner, commented: “We are focussed on helping our employees to engage in meaningful ways to address sustainability. Our partnership with Raleigh International goes way beyond simply making a donation and is the next step in reaching our ESG ambitions. Our employees will become fully invested in tackling climate change and in positively impacting the communities in which we operate.”
James Sutton, Director of Strategic Partnerships, Campaigns & Communications at Raleigh International, added: “We are thrilled to be working with Air Partner and its employees to support the team’s focus on sustainability and environmental change as part of its ESG commitments. This is an urgent issue in the UK, as we have seen with the government’s net-zero strategy and forestry targets, so it is fantastic to see Air Partner’s focus in this area.”
