Air Partner’s Global Cargo Division, the global full-service logistics provider, successfully accomplished an enormous logistics mission to transport 43 offshore buoys, obtaining permits for the first flight in less than 72 hours and the second flight in 24 hours.
Air Partner’s teams in Italy and Turkey worked together to secure the successful transportation of the shipment.
The operation took place from Brescia, Italy, to the coastal region of Pointe Noire in the Republic of Congo involving two high-capacity cargo flights.
Offshore buoys are vital for maritime safety and were needed with the utmost urgency to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of coastal navigation systems in the region.
Due to the urgent requirement for the shipment, the teams worked tirelessly to obtain the necessary permits for both flights within a tight timeframe. The first flight, a B767-200F, carried 27 pieces of the offshore buoys, while the second flight, an A321F, transported the remaining 16 pieces.
Pierre Van Der Stichele, VP of Global Cargo at Air Partner, commented: “The expertise and dedication required to secure permits for large international cargo to the Republic of Congo within such a tight time frame is a massive undertaking. This mission highlights not only the swift and proficient capabilities of the Air Partner Cargo Division, but also the incredible hard work from all those involved. The Air Partner Global Cargo Division continues to facilitate extensive, time-critical missions with experienced professionalism working in tandem with teams all over the world.”
