During the Tunisian demonstrations in mid-January 2011 our client required a time-critical solution as part of their crisis response plans, which included air evacuation of personnel and transportation of 220 tonnes of humanitarian aid goods into Tunisia.
SolutionAir Partner’s evacuation specialists responded quickly to organize 34 flights on passenger aircraft to evacuate personnel out of harm’s way, while freight experts chartered three flights to transport the 220 tonnes of aid cargo into Tunisia. In total, more than 6,000 displaced Egyptians and 500 Bangladeshis were repatriated during this project. The transported cargo consisted among other critical goods of blankets and tents for makeshift camps that harbored thousands of people who fled from Libya to Tunisia to escape the Gaddafi regime.
