The International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) needed to deliver 40 tonnes of aid cargo to Haiti to support crisis response activities after Hurricane Matthew battered the country in early October 2016.

The cargo to be delivered included hygiene kits, buckets, tarpaulins, shelter tool kits and kitchen sets for approximately 1,000 families that were affected by the natural disaster. One of the biggest challenges consisted of securing slots and handling at the congested Toussaint L'Ouverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince.
