Can you tell us about your role at Air Partner? As the Senior Director of Sales for Private Jets, I am responsible for identifying and pursuing new clients, delivering customized charter solutions, offering expert guidance on risk management, and ensuring that every trip is followed up with the utmost care and attention to detail.
What key industries do you serve?
Currently, I oversee a variety of industries, including former heads of state, venture capital and hedge fund firms, entertainers, and private individuals.
How long have you worked in private aviation?Well, let’s just say I was at Kitty Hawk taking pictures in 1905. I’m only kidding; 1990 is when my career in aviation literally took off!
Why did you choose a career in aviation?I must say, that's a good question. After completing my college education, I began my career in the banking industry as a Financial Analyst. Later, I came across a job opportunity at the largest private jet provider of that time, which was similar to my previous role. During this job, I started to develop my client relations and sales skills.
What is your favorite aircraft and why?I find some of the newer ultra-long-range aircraft impressive, but I have always preferred Gulfstream's lineup, especially the G650-ER. It is considered one of the most reliable business jets globally, and from a passenger's perspective, it offers one of the most spacious interiors in the market, with a lower cabin altitude.
During your time spent working in aviation, what changes have you seen within Air Partner?I joined this amazing team of aviation professionals as the Senior Director of Sales in February 2020, just a month before COVID-19 was declared. At the time of my joining, the US team had 28 employees, but now we have over 50 or 60 employees, and I have lost count! Also, adding new operations and quoting systems, along with the Trip Support team, has had a tremendous impact on Air Partner's ability to adapt procedures to the changing times.
What is the real strength of Air Partner?Air Partner's real strengths lie in its longevity and complete transparency towards our clients. However, it is the people at Air Partner who truly make a difference. The entire team is truly focused on delivering exceptional customer service.
What is your philosophy for delivering exceptional service to your customers? One of the key aspects of providing excellent customer service is to listen to your clients and empathize with their concerns actively. I always strive to put myself in their shoes and understand their perspective. During conference calls, I often involve an Account Manager to listen and ensure that we address all the client's needs and provide effective solutions and answers. This collaborative approach helps us to deliver exceptional service and build strong relationships with our clients.
Tell us about your first charter.I had hair when I booked my first charter! It was a quick charter from Philadelphia, PA, to Greensboro, SC, and return for a utility company out of southern New Jersey.
